The River Wye: Bibblins Bridge, Goodrich Castle and Brecon's Becon (May 24)

The Wye River valley is gorgeous. From Parva B&B in Tintern, we headed north to Monmouth, then to Symonds/Yat Rock in the Forest of Dean for a 3-mile round-trip walk to Bibblins bridge through lovely ancient forest along the river.

After a nice visit to nearby Goodrich castle, it was already tea time! (The days are flying.) We flew past Raglan castle (which had just closed) and headed up and over Brecon's Beacon National Park - it was so lovely and cold up in the mountains! Down to Hay-on-Wye (they are celebrating their annual 2-week literary festival) and on to dinner/overnight in Builth Wells.  Wales is absolutely beautiful!

Brecon's Becon (to Hay-on-Wye):

We chased this bird for about a mile

Jane's favorite dinner: Pot pie in Builth Wells!  We booked a B&B that morning due to the "holiday weekend" which seemed to last for 2 weeks.
