Central Bath. Our apartment was a block from the Roman Baths and Bath Abbey. We ended up heading the Baths and Abbey - and staying until 2 p.m. exploring the historic center, baths, and museum. Jane and Kristi left the museum early to climb the abbey tower.

We only had an hour drive to Tintern so it was nice to linger and check the place out. But after a ginormous plate of beer, fish and chips for lunch, we all just wanted a nap!
The last half-hour of the drive, we were using one-lane farm roads (due to a main road closure). Thanks Maps.me! But, we did see a fox on the way! We checked into Parva B&B and then had an hour at Tintern in perfect, low light conditions. SO amazing. A stunningly beautiful site.
Farm roads! (Maps.me took us to some cool places too!)
Tintern Abbey.
A little church right by our Parva B&B, right on the River Wye!
Side note: Using GPS maps has been interesting. We're realizing that we need to use the best 2 of 3 navigating devices in the car. The car's GPS will say, "in 1500 ft, turn right" while my MapsMe app will say "prepare to turn left". Then Jane's Google map is the tie breaker. We've gotten to see some beautiful countryside this way, LOL! :)
