Happy Summer Solstice. I drove to Pingvaller National Park (part of the Golden Circle) today before heading to the airport for an early afternoon flight back to Denver and then Albuquerque.
Follow Jane and Kristi as we travel with Dad and Will to Wales and Dublin; then on to Italy, Sicily, Naples, Rome, Umbria, Dolomites, Venice and Reykjavík (Iceland).

Iceland: The south coast (June 20)
A bit of an overcast day and fighting a bit of a head cold, I took it "easy" by driving the south coast today. It cleared off toward the end of the day...

I couldn't get enough of this view: Dyrholaey lighthouse
Iceland: Grindavik and the southwest coast (June 19)
Hi everyone! Made it to Iceland and staying at a guesthouse in Gridavik, which is close to the famous Blue Lagoon. I explored some of the southwest coast yesterday, a beautiful desolate volcanic landscape with huge patches of blooming lupine every so often. Sunset was at midnight last night, so there was a lot of playtime in the evening. Huge fish and chips for dinner (uh-oh!).
Lupine!

Burano and Venice (June 17)
I worked a little this morning and then headed to Burano for lunch and exploring. Back to centro Venice in the evening for more (purposeful) getting lost in endless alleys, finding amazing buildings, and dwelling in St. Mark's Square. :)
Colorful Burano!

Back in Venice!
St. Mark's Square at sunset/dusk is a spiritual place!
Street performance art. He used spray paint, cardboard (for straight lines and for a 'brush" when dipped into a wad of sprayed paint). Captivating.
